WHO WE ARE
Hi, I'm Tobin Dimmitt, the founder of Lofty Furniture. My
journey into furniture began in 2008 when I co-founded Amish Furniture Factory.
Immersed in computer work, I was puzzled by the onset of migraines and aches,
especially since I've always prioritized an active, healthy lifestyle. It clicked
when I stumbled upon research about the health risks of prolonged sitting in a
sedentary office setup.
Motivated to make a change, I opted for my first adjustable
desk base, deliberately skipping the desktop. Why settle for a standard top
when I had access to Amish craftsmen capable of creating a superior, custom
solid wood top that was not only better in quality and appearance, but also
more affordable? This choice, followed by years of integrating Amish-crafted
tops and ergonomic office accessories into my workspace, led to a significant
decrease in headaches and physical discomfort.
The concept for Lofty Furniture crystalized in 2021.
Inspired by my personal transformation, I decided to extend the opportunity for
a healthier, more comfortable office environment to others. Today, Lofty
Furniture stands out as the sole provider of ergonomic office pieces that
incorporate the unparalleled craftsmanship of Amish-made furniture.
